Your starting system is a CD transport (CD t) partnered with an integrated amplifier (6 DAC). Build a better music experience over time until you reach your ultimate hi-fi system. Add new products for additional function and performance and replace lower range models for more advanced components.
Replace the 6 DAC with an 8₂ DAC. The upgrade will need to be carried out at the Cyrus factory or through your local distributor.
The 8₂ DAC has a Qx card upgrade (available in selected stores) and a PSX-R₂ is added as an additional component.
An X Power is added as an additional component. Bi-amp your speakers with the addition of a dedicated X Power amplifier running in stereo configuration for an improved soundstage.
A PSX-R₂ is added as an additional component. PSX-R₂ adds smoothness to the X Power amplifier for more speaker control.
The CD t is upgraded to a CD Xt Signature at the Cyrus factory and the 8₂ DAC is upgraded to the DAC XP Signature. A dedicated Signature upgrade for the CD transport plus an additional pre amplifier adds huge resolution to the system.
The X Power is an additional component as will be the PSX-R₂. To provide even greater power to your speakers add an additional X Power and PSX-R₂ for mono configuration of your system.
Replace the X Powers and 2 of the PSX-R₂'s with 2 Mono X 300 Signatures. Upgrade the X Power amplifiers to Mono X 300 Signatures to bring in Zero Feedback technology for amazing resolution and control. This also adds the ability to use balanced interconnects.
The addition of two further Mono X 300 Signature amplifiers.Bi-amp your speakers with the addition of a two further Mono X 300 Signature amplifiers for the ultimate hi-fi system.
In theory, when you spend more money on any hi-fi components you should get improved resolution and a wider dynamic range. What does this mean? Well as an audio system is trying to recreate a performance in your living room, you can assimilate this to taking pictures; as your hi-fi is trying to create a picture of sound. Improved resolution is like having your camera image in sharp focus using a very high quality lens. Wider Dynamic Range describes an attribute of an imaging system that can record greater scene details, from shadows to highlights than normal. Your hi-fi system therefore has the ability to play your music at low listening levels and also at high levels without strain and be emotionally engaging at any volume setting giving you the detail to hear all parts of the performance more clearly.
And this is exactly what you do get when you upgrade your Cyrus system from the excellent Cyrus 6 DAC and CD t combination all the way up to the full Signature System. You hear this improvement every time.
